Advocacy in Action: Moorhead District Dialogue

When:  Oct 29, 2025 from 01:00:00 PM to 03:00:00 PM (CT)

Direct conversations with our state, elected officials is one of the most crucial parts of grassroots advocacy. Breaking down barriers to access and letting our state representatives know what exactly is going on in the world of disability services help to create new legislative champions, while strengthening existing ones. Arming our legislators with information, facts, and stories of services will help in all facets of passing legislation to strengthen the world of waivered residential services, from those who work in it, to those receiving care. For those reasons, we are hosting district dialogues across the state, to put legislators in the room with their constituent to get the facts from the ARRM created one-pager, and to hear your stories and challenges in the workplace. Only through dialogue can we create a stronger community.

Participants in this event will …
1.    Be invited to join a sit-down conversation with their local legislators
2.    Be given handouts describing overarching themes and challenges in disability waivered residential services
3.    Get the chance to tell their stories to legislators
4.    Hear from their local elected on the issues
