Last week the House passed the Human Service Omnibus bill off the House floor. With the passage of this bill, a Conference Committee has now been formed to work out the differences between the House and Senate proposal and develop a final Human Service budget omnibus bill.
Conference Committee members include:

- Chair Representative Mohamed Noor
- Representative Peter Fischer
- Representative Dave Baker
The first Conference Committee hearing will take place Tuesday, May 2nd and will be an informational walk through of each proposal. We are anticipating the next hearing, scheduled for Wednesday, May 3rd to include public testimony.
ARRM has drafted this letter to conferees, outlining the proposals we support, and oppose, in both the House and Senate bill. If your organization is willing to draft a letter in support of increased funding for the Disability Waiver Rate System and ICF/DD services in order to increase Direct Support Professional wages, please send it to me by the end of Monday, May 1st.
