Ongoing Training and Special Events

ARRM offers a variety of training seminars throughout the year. The topics vary depending on the identified need within the membership. Topics of training over the past couple of years have included Wage and Hour Regulations, HIPAA Compliance, Cultural Diversity within the Workplace, Healthy Boundaries and Healthy Lives (looking at Sexuality and Relationship for people with disabilities), Discovering Buried Treasures within our Consumers, Vulnerable Adults Act Legislative Changes, Aging and Common Vision (self advocacy). We also offer annual educational and special events such as the Leadership Conference, Community Enrichment Week, the Summer Outing, and the CFO Meeting.

Education Policy for Workshops

Individuals registering after the noted registration deadline in each brochure will be charged an additional $25 and lunch will not be guaranteed.

The registration deadline is set because final arrangements need to be made for space, refreshments and lunch. We have to give our vendors at least 7 days notice of the final counts; it is often impossible to increase those numbers as the vendors order their supplies a week ahead of time. We have tried to be customer friendly with allowing people to register after the stated deadline; we will continue to do so as we are able, barring space constraints. However it will cost you more to procrastinate and lunch may not be available. To avoid this situation, we urge you to register for workshops in a timely manner – that is before the registration deadline. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
