Workshop: Putting it All Together
Forming professional relationships with families and caregivers.

October 30th in Minneapolis

Promoting positive relationships is key to success!

  • Supporting and caring for others presents challenges and rewards
  • When you serve a person with a disability, you serve their entire family and network
  • To provide the best care possible, we must all work together through good communication, understanding and respect:

Who Should Attend: DSP’s, House Managers and Supervisors

This workshop will help you see why family and care networks are important to the people we serve. Nancy McCulloh will help you identify basic relationship building skills including communication, problem solving, respect and trust. Wendy Selnes will give you keys to developing healthy boundaries while providing positive supports.

Family members will also talk about their hopes and dreams for their loved one. They will tell you what drives them to make the decisions they do.
