8:30 - 9:00  REGISTRATION

9:00 – 10:30  Special Needs Basic Care & MnDHO: Monitoring Product Effectiveness, Pam Parker. Pam will report on the expansion of managed care into health care for people with disabilities, discussing the DHS' role of managing and overseeing the effectiveness of these products as they expand their offerings to our industry. Also, Pam will present an update on Minnesota's MSHO and MnDHO programs.

10:30 – 10:45  BREAK

10:45 – 12:00  SIRS: Background and New Rule Changes, Sam Orbovich. Sam will provide background on the operations of SIRS and the procedural changes and impact of the new SIRS rule.

12:00 – 12:45  LUNCH

12:45 – 2:15  ARRM-Member Panel: Industry Updates, Connie Menne, Carol Lee, and Sandy Henry. Connie will present on ARRM's position and efforts regarding provider issues with "leave days." Carol will discuss the process and outcomes (thus far) of DHS' implementation of the legislated ICF/MR Study Plan. Sandy will explain certain background and details of the state contract and ARRM's effort to sort out some of the difficult areas by working closely with the department and Sam Orbovich.  

2:15 – 2:30  BREAK

2:30 – 3:30  Rate Development, Don Priebe and David Doth. Don and David will present a brief history of the rate development initiative in Minnesota and discuss ARRM's current effort and leadership to proactively organize ARRM Membership in preparation for some likely changes within the disabilities industry.
