The ARRM Cares Award has been established to allow member organizations a means of recognizing Direct Support Professionals who demonstrate a commitment to quality services. ARRM supports and encourages our members to acknowledge their employees’ dedication and service through this award process.

Don’t miss this opportunity for your agency and its exemplary staff to be honored. All nominees will be recognized at the conference with several outstanding nominees chosen by the selection committee to receive the ARRM Cares Award. Decisions are based on the criteria noted below. All nominations are printed for public review and are subject to editing by the selection committee prior to printing.

• Staff must do direct care for at least 75 percentof total job
• Each agency may nominate up to 2 percent of their direct support professionals
• One nominee per form – no group nominations (.e., please don't nominate an entire program site)
• Five hundred (500) word limit – additional word will be edited prior to consideration
• Submit identified photo with nomination to bcarlson@arrm.org
• Check out examples of previous winners
• Complete by January 17, 2012; those received after this date will not be considered for the award
• Watch for email acknowledgement of your nomination to verify receipt at the ARRM office

Tell the story with details using specific examples of how the nominee demonstrates:

• Professional Integrity: maintaining high standards to benefit consumers, co-workers, and the organization and supporting individuals while maintaining professional appropriate boundaries
• Networking Supports: advocating to connect consumers with natural support systems
• Creative, Innovative, Proactive Approaches to Services: personalizing services, demonstrating an ability to develop and implement new approaches and sharing successful results
