ARRM's Risk Management Plan II

ARRM is pleased to re-release the second version of the Risk Management Plan, available for download in both a revised Word and Excel RMP document. (Scroll to the bottom of the page to download.) There is no charge for these documents.

ARRM worked in cooperation with the Department of Human Services and various Minnesota counties to produce a RMP that would meet the legislative standards that became effective July 1, 2003.  After the release of the second version of the plan to providers, the Department of Human Services requested that language be modified to the RMP to ensure that the document met 245B standards.  ARRM has modified that language to the RMP in this version.  The area that was modified was:

Personal Safety

  • Access to toxic or dangerous substances was modified to
  • Access to toxic substances or dangerous items.

Most providers correct each individual RMP with this modification.  The included RMP should be used for the development of all new RMPs. For up to date questions and answers about this RMP, visit the FAQs/Resources web page on our web site (only ARRM members have access to this page).

As with the other versions of the RMP, please follow the following steps when you first save the RMP to your computer or server:

  1. Open the document
  2. Ensure the document is locked or protected
  3. Change the computer’s macro security setting to low
  4. Save the document
  5. Close the document
  6. Now the document is ready to be used and can be reopened for use

We wish to thank the DHS staff, county staff, and other parties that provided input for this revision.  We hope that those changes, along with the technical adjustments, improve the plan and make it easy to use.
