Directions to the Capitol
The Capitol complex is to the north of I-94 just minutes from downtown St. Paul. It is accessible from the east and west on I-94, and from the north and south on I-35E.

I-94 eastbound: Exit at Marion Street. Turn left. Go to Aurora Avenue and turn right. Go one block and enter Parking Lot AA.

I-94 westbound: Exit at Marion Street. Turn right. Go to Aurora Avenue and turn right. Go one block and enter Parking Lot AA.

I-35E northbound: Exit at Kellogg Boulevard. Turn left. Go to John Ireland Boulevard and turn right. Metered parking spaces line both sides of the boulevard.

I-35E southbound: Exit at University Avenue. Turn right. Go to Rice Street and turn left. Go one block, turn right and enter Parking Lot AA.

Metered lot parking is available at the following locations:

Lot F (Rice Street side of the DOT Building)
Lot AA (West of the State Office Building on Rice Street)
Lot H (West of the Veterans Service Building)
Lot K (12th Street, east of the Veterans Service Building)
Lot L (East of the Judicial Center, accessed from Rev. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd.)
Centennial Ramp (Behind the Centennial Office Building, accessed from Rev.  Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd., Orange Level)
Lot Q (Northwest of the Administration Building, Cedar Street and Sherburne  Avenue, metered area only)
14th Street Lot (Adjacent to Stassen Building on North Robert Street at 14th  Street)
Cedar Street Ramp (Attached to Andersen Building)

Lot/ramp parking using daily parking
Lot/ramp parking using daily parking permits is available in some lots and in the Centennial Parking ramp. Metered City Street Parking
Metered city street parking is controlled and enforced by the City of St. Paul. Parking meters typically take quarters only, with one quarter buying 20 minutes of parking time.

Metered city street parking is available at the following locations:

John Ireland Boulevard, east and west sides - Front of the Department of Transportation Building
Cedar Street, east and west sides - Front of the Centennial Office Building
University Avenue, north side - Front of the Ford Building, 117 University Avenue  
Sherburne Avenue, north side - 1 block north of the Capitol Building between Cedar and Park Streets
Robert Street, west side - Near the Stassen Building, Department of Revenue
Aurora Avenue - North of Sears, off Rice Street
