hat Visit Your Legislator At The Capitol

In addition to attending ARRM's annual "Day At The Capitol" event in the spring, ARRM hopes that you will take the time to visit your legislator at the capitol during the legislative session. By taking these steps below, we hope to sustain the support of elected officials through the rough funding negotiations that are ahead.

1. Determine who from your agency will visit your legislator at the capitol. We recommend that you bring a person served or family member as long as they are contituents of the legislator.

2. Locate your district and legislator. Click here for the District Finder. You may also call the MN House of Representatives Public Information Office at 651-296-2146 or 800-657-3550, or the MN Senate Information Office at 651-296-0504 or 651-296-2887.

3. Go to the "Telling your story" section and learn the fundamentals of framing your issue. It's easier than you may think!
