An effective understanding of the Disability Waiver Rate System (DWRS) is possibly one of the most critical components to successfully operating a disability waiver services business. Up to date knowledge is not only essential for maximizing revenues from provided services, but it is a helpful tool in working with people receiving services and their families to create plans that meet their needs as well as increase their understanding about the services you are and are not able to offer.
Join ARRM’s Vice President of External Affairs, Barb Turner, one of the state’s top experts on DWRS, for a full-day training that will be both a refresher course on the core elements of DWRS and address recent changes, as well as look ahead to potential future changes. This is a great training for those new to DWRS needing a crash course to get up to speed, as well as more experienced staff looking for the most up-to-date strategies for using DWRS to the benefit of the people you serve and your organization.
The event will cover:
1. History of DWRS
2. Review of RMS Framework and forms with opportunity for hands on work
3. Review of Exceptions Process
4. Best Practices and Problem Solving
