Federal Connections

Building relationships with your legislators is the first step in effective grassroots advocacy. ARRM members do this through visiting and meeting with their federal legislators, both in Washington D.C. and locally in their district.  Below are a few ways ARRM members and staff have recently connected with Federal representatives.

Senator Paulsen meets with self-advocate Michelle Alvord.

Ashley Sullivan, a self-advocate supported by Opportunity Partners'
vocational services, with state Senator Al Franken.

ARRM Communications Director Amy Wartick joins
Senator Amy Klobuchar at a community event.

Alicia Munson, Public Policy & Advocacy Associate at Opportunity Partners,
meets with Congressman Keith Ellison

Senator Amy Klobuchar with Mary Tjosvold and Jessica Andrist of Mary T.
